Sarah Seals the Hillary vote for Obama

Comparisons between Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton are not just odious, they are downright dumb.
The only common factor between those two is gender.

Palin is one of those right wing wackos who is all for killing - huntin', shootin', fishin' and killin' things - but believes that termination of unwanted or mutation pregnancies is murder.
She is all for children being taught creationism and, predictably, is against same sex marriage.
If she has a gift, it would seem to be her massive ego. Before she discovered the joys of running for office, she was competing in beauty quests.

This is a vain and shallow Republican poster girl.

The Fox Republicans are creaming themselves.

Whatever they say, however, there is no comparison with Hillary - the intellect, the erudition, the political savvy, the compassion etc etc - and I am sure that she will make zip, zilch and nil impression on the potential vote of Hillary supporters of any kind.
The very idea is madness.

In fact, if anything, she will cement them into support for Obama.

hi folks its the artist formerly known as huey, now to other forms of unbelievable comedy the GOP CONVENTION.
I find it extremely upsetting that the republicans think we have no memory, were they not the party that called the writers of the hit show murphy brown denegraters of americas morals? were they not the party that called murphy a slut and fornicater for having a baby out of wedlock? and the icing on the cake did they not say that any woman who couldnot control their family to the point that a minor child becomes pregnant without their knowledge should lose their children? yes they did ,fast forward to 2008 and they have put up the bad mother of all the above as a candidate to be second in charge of the most powerful nation on earth.
All the above is purely the opinions past and present of the republicans not the author or the publication it appears in personally having a special needs child myself i know what a fulltime job it is and being the child of a single mother who raised six children on a pension i have nothing but respect for mothers who do what the candidate does, but when that phone does ring at 3 am and its the police because your kid was busted at a rave and call waiting is the president because we just invaded some sovereign nation which one has to be more important to her ? which one gets put on hold the free world or the scared frightened child who needs their mom ? a decision no human should have to make and a result no human should have to suffergovenor go home and be the great mother you can be and let someon else mother the country. cheers from the apple

Back home Australia is also rapidly become a tad worried now that Palin has thrown her hockey-stick in the run-up ring - and is packing out Republican halls with an almost Born-again fervor - and as Melbourne cartoonist Lukas observes - she presents a VERY scary option.

How beyond madness the last couple of weeks have turned out (but oh how embarrassingly American)...with woman embracing this piranah wholeheartedly, right down to holding the campaign created *homemade* yellow posters. I watched way too much television in America and will be grateful for my once again text driven news takes. The only thing that made me laugh in days of watching news was Tina Fay on SNL, a perfect take-off on Palin. ARGH!!!

Nick...I am back in Oz now, watching the action from afar and seeing it just as you do, alarming.

And you, MJ, exemplify our fears from that other country. It is your government - and also your comedians who certainly are hitting the nail right on the head. How about Tina Fay for VP??
